Community Guidelines

Double Good was created to raise joy and funds primarily for America’s youth and their communities. We want to do it in a fun and safe way. For the safety and support of our users, we continuously evaluate fundraisers to ensure our platform is being used in the way in which it was intended. We reserve the right to remove any fundraiser that does not support and spread joy for America’s youth.

Encouraged Fundraising Purposes

These are examples of fundraisers we believe are consistent with Double Good’s brand and mission:

  • Youth-based organizations: Raising funds for youth sports teams and extracurricular activities.

  • Schools and education: Raising funds for tuition, school supplies, educational trips, scholarships, and related expenses.

  • Non-profit organizations: Fundraising campaigns that support nonprofits and charitable causes.

  • Community projects: Initiatives to improve local communities, including park restorations, community centers, and public services.

Prohibited Purposes

The following are general categories of fundraising purposes we believe are inconsistent with our mission, as further explained in our terms and conditions, and therefore may be prohibited on Double Good’s platform:

  • Illegal activities, deception, and fraud: Any fundraising for activities that violate local, state, national, or international laws, or are intended to deceive buyers or induce them to contribute to a fundraiser.

  • Certain legal defense fees: Any fundraising intended for the legal defense of alleged financial, violent, or other serious crimes, including those related to money laundering, murder, robbery, assault, battery, sex crimes or crimes against minors.

  • Hate speech and discrimination: Any fundraising to support campaigns promoting hate, violence, discrimination, or bigotry against individuals or groups.

  • Explicit content: Any fundraising to support campaigns involving pornography, sexually explicit material, or adult services.

  • Dangerous goods or services: Fundraisers for weapons, drugs, and other dangerous or illegal goods and services.

  • Gambling and betting: Fundraising campaigns related to gambling, betting, or lottery activities.

  • Campaigns that Double Good deems objectionable: In general, if we believe a fundraising campaign is objectionable or likely to cause harm to our users or fundraising communities, we reserve the right to remove it from our platform.

Content Guidelines

The content you create and upload into your campaigns and Pop-Up Stores should be respectful at all times, and should follow these principles:

  • Respectful communication: All interactions on our platform should be respectful and considerate. Harassment, bullying, abusive language, and any other form of defamation are strictly prohibited.

  • Honesty and transparency: Campaign creators must provide accurate and truthful information about their fundraising needs and how the funds will be used.

  • Privacy and safety: Personal information should be protected at all times. Do not share sensitive information without consent. Fundraising involving minors should be carefully managed to ensure their privacy and safety.

  • Intellectual property: Respect the intellectual property rights of others. Do not use copyrighted materials without permission.

Enforcement and Reporting

  • Consequences of violations: Violating these guidelines can result in campaign removal, account suspension, or permanent bans from the platform. In certain cases, Double Good may be required to report certain violations to law enforcement.

  • Reporting violations: Users can report campaigns or content that violates these guidelines to help@doublegood.com. Our team will review all reports and take appropriate action.

Double Good Moderation

Double Good may apply a combination of business rules, machine learning and human review to identify and remediate fundraisers or content that violate our Terms and Conditions and these Community Guidelines. However, these methods are not guaranteed to catch everything. It is ultimately the user’s responsibility to ensure that fundraising and other campaign content are consistent with Double Good’s Terms and Conditions and these Community Guidelines.
