In our Meet the Team series, we introduce you to the smiling faces creating joy for our team members, customers, and their supporters. This month, we interviewed Armando Estrada, one of our senior Customer Support agents who started at Double Good making the popcorn before joining our Customer Support team.

We haven’t yet found a way to measure joy, but we certainly have some impressive numbers to back up the fact that 2022 was an incredibly joyful year for our customers and supporters of their fundraisers. And while these stats do speak for themselves, it is the stories behind them that really warm our hearts. Your dreams, goals and aspirations are priceless, and thanks to you we are able to continue supporting them in the new year.

“I wanted my son and me to be among kids that looked like him and moms that felt the way I do when it comes to their children’s future.” What started as a wish for her son would eventually lead to a career change that allowed Marvis Donalson to connect her professional experience and passion for community service as Head of Partnerships – Sororities, Fraternities, and Service Organizations at Double Good.

We interviewed Liz Oritz, our Production Team Lead, who recounts her early days with Double Good (Popcorn Palace back then) and her volunteer day with Surfer's Healing.

A popcorn factory outside of Chicago may not be the place you’d expect to find a group of dance instructors working out routines and laughing excitedly across tables. But that’s what happened. For two perfect days, dance instructors from different parts of the country gathered at Double Good to learn how to better serve kids with special needs in their communities.
